Why do I need a Power Flush?
The problem - black metal oxide sludge (rust).

The build up of this sludge in your central heating system over a period of time is
inevitable especially if the system water is left untreated of any chemicals such as an
inhibitor.
When the sludge in a heating system starts to build up, it is common to find the following typical problems:
  • Radiators cold at the top and need frequent bleeding
  • Radiators cold at the bottom
  • No heat distribution to the radiators or very poor
  • Noise from boiler
  • Boiler cutting out
  • Poor or no hot water
  • High Fuel Bills
  • Boiler failure
By far, the greatest risk to an untreated heating system is boiler failure - an expensive and disruptive occurrence. A improperly or unprotected
system with a build up of sludge may suffer boiler noise (drumming, thumping and knocking) due to excessive lime scale or sludge build up.

Eventually, the insulating effects of sludge and lime scale will restrict the heat exchanger (the engine of a boiler) to the point where it overheats
and causes permanent damage.

Sludge will seriously affect the efficiency of a system which will lead to higher fuel bills and premature failure of a boiler and other heating
components such as valves and pumps.

We would advise to Power Flush your heating system when installing a new boiler.

Using the powerful Kamco Clearflow power flushing machine in conjunction with a Magnaclean filter connected to the heating circuit it is
possible to eliminate sludge from your central heating circuit and restore heat, efficiency, protection and cut your fuel bills!

Once your system is sludge free, our engineers will make sure it stays that way by adding a rust inhibitor at the correct dosage to give your
heating system long term protection.
